BBC Radio 4. Food & Farming Awards 2003.

Taste of the Country directors Jim & Helen Cherry were invited to the BBC Radio 4. Food and Farming Awards Ceremony at the NEC in Birmingham on the 26th November 2003., as part of the BBC's Good Food Show.

Earlier in the year, unknown to themselves, a customer from the Long Compton shop had proposed Taste of the Country as a candidate for one of the categories in this nation wide awards event. It came as a complete surprise when the BBC informed them that TOTC was one of the four finalists in this years awards. They are delighted to have progressed this far and to have been at the Awards Ceremony. The final placings were disclosed on the night and they were placed runners up in the "Local Food Retailers" Category. This is a fantastic result for Taste of the Country since they are just into their first year of major expansion.
